Privacy Policy

helpfund.school ("helpfund", "we") is a fundraising platform for school parent organizations. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account information. When a parent, teacher, or PTA administrator creates an account we collect a name, email address, password, and language preference.
Student information. Parents may register their child with a first name, last initial, classroom, and optionally a photo, video link, and short message. Students do not create accounts, and we never collect a student's full name, contact details, or any information directly from a child. Student pages are only created and controlled by the child's parent or guardian.
Donation information. Donors may provide a name, email address, and message. Payments are processed by Stripe; helpfund never sees or stores card numbers.
School content. PTA administrators and teachers may upload school logos, photos, and videos to display on their fundraising pages.

How we use information

To operate fundraisers: donation pages, progress dashboards, points and prize tracking.
To send announcements from the school's PTA to that school's members.
To send donation receipts (via Stripe).

What we don't do

We do not sell personal information to anyone.
We do not use participant information for third-party advertising.
We do not make student pages searchable — each page is reachable only through its unique link, shared by the family or school.

Children's privacy

helpfund is designed for use by adults. Accounts are limited to parents, guardians, teachers, and school administrators. Any information about a student is provided and controlled by that student's parent or guardian, who may edit or delete it at any time.

Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to run the platform: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Netlify (hosting), and Resend (school announcement emails). Donations are visible to the school's PTA administrators and, for their own child, to the child's parents.

Your choices

You can update or delete your child's page, your photos, and your account information in the app at any time. For account deletion or any privacy question, contact hello@helpfund.school.

helpfund.school es una plataforma de recaudación de fondos para organizaciones de padres. Recopilamos: información de cuenta (nombre, correo, contraseña) de padres, maestros y administradores; información del estudiante proporcionada únicamente por sus padres (nombre de pila e inicial del apellido, salón, foto opcional); e información de donaciones procesadas por Stripe (nunca vemos números de tarjeta). No vendemos información personal, no usamos publicidad de terceros y las páginas de estudiantes solo son accesibles mediante su enlace único. Los estudiantes no crean cuentas.
